Verité is Growing
By Michael Smith
Since opening doors in 2012, Verité Entertainment founders, René Veilleux and Donald Roman Lopez, worked with passion and a vision of the future. Now nearing 2019, the company is seeing the fruits of that labor and vision in the form of new partnerships and collaborations, a new office and studio, and new team members!
In April of 2018, Verité Entertainment bid farewell to its office space in Koreatown. “We loved our first home and neighborhood, but as the company continued to grow, we realized it was time to expand and find a new space,” said Co-Founder and President, Donald Roman Lopez. “We have fond memories of the neighborhood and our favorite spots, like Tip’s House, Café Concerto, and Sushi One,” he added.
Goodbye, Koreatown! Hello, MacArthur Park! Now adjacent to Downtown LA, Verité had space for its FIRST voiceover booth. In the first few months, this booth was a host to recordings for projects such as the popular mobile game-turned-animated series, Subway Surfers, the highly anticipated first-person-shooter game, Overkill’s the Walking Dead, the hugely successful Elder Scrolls Online, and dubbing projects from around the world. A few months later, with business booming, a new assessment was made. In order to keep up with the growing demand of Verité’s voiceover expertise, Donald and René decided there was a need to expand once again and a second, larger, multi-mic booth was added. Hello, Verité Studios!
All of the physical growth at Verité Entertainment also called for another kind of growth - the expansion of our Verité family: Rafael Estrella, Head of Production; Janice W. Summers, Head of Business Development; Michael Smith, Marketing & Social Media Assistant; Jack Warne, Production Assistant; Adriana Mijares, Office Assistant. In addition to our growth on the service arm of the company, Verité is also evolving with creative and IP development, as well as the company’s international expansion. New and exciting updates and announcements are coming soon!
